CLASSROOM TEACHER

The Classroom Teacher provides ABA and educational services to clients in the classroom environment.

Employement duties can include:

  • Creating and implementing lessons geared towards the individualized goals of each student and classroom as a whole
  • Tracking all skills targeted in the classroom environment including behavior, group goals, observational learning, and adherence to all curriculum requirements
  • Ensuring the classroom environment is as comparable to a typical classroom as possible while still maintaining the fundamental requirements of ABA
  • All preparation work necessary, including lesson plans, stimuli, etc.
  • Preparation of monthly student reports
  • Skills assessments such as VB-MAPP or ABLLS-R
  • Behavioral assessments Implementation of BCBA-approved behavior intervention plans
  • Implementation of BCBA-approved skill acquisition programming
  • Ensure the wellbeing of all students in your assigned classroom
  • Attend meetings as scheduled
  • Take an active role in personal professional development
  • Other duties as assigned

Possible Job Requirements in addition to those above:

  • Completion of necessary ABA training in clinical or classroom setting
  • Provide training to staff and parents
  • Complete caseload duties such as binder maintenance, case managing, scheduling, etc.
  • Continue to participate in regular training sessions
  • Participate in quarterly parent meetings
  • Cleaning/janitorial duties around campus
  • Physically care for clients including toilet training and/or changing diapers
  • Possible contact with bodily fluids such as saliva, mucus, urine, bowel movements, and blood
  • Employee must be physically able to lift 35 lbs. on a daily basis, squat, be up and down from the floor multiple times per hour and run for at least 25 yards

REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN

The Registered Behavior Technician provides Applied Behavior Analysis services to clients and families in the day program center and community.
Employment duties can include:

  • Skills assessments such as VB-MAPP or ABLLS-R
  • Behavioral assessments
  • Implementation of BCBA-approved behavior intervention plans
  • Implementation of BCBA-approved skill acquisition programming
  • Regular supervision from a BTLC-approved BCBA
  • Clerical work in the form of:
    – Keeping track of personal time card
    – Session notes
    – Maintenance of client programming
    – Other duties as assigned

Possible Job Requirements in addition to those above:

  • Provide training to staff and parents
  • Complete regular administrative and caseload duties such as case management
  • In some cases, take on consultation cases for in-homes, clinic, and community
  • Continue to participate in regular training sessions
  • Provide training to newer employees
  • Cleaning/janitorial duties in the office/clinic areas
  • Physically care for clients including toilet training and/or changing diapers
  • Possible contact with bodily fluids such as saliva, mucus, urine, bowel movements, and blood
  • Employee must be physically able to lift 35 lbs. on a daily basis, squat, be up and down from the floor multiple times per hour and run for at least 25 yards
  • Possible travel throughout the Houston area
